Prof. George Chrousos

George Chrousos is one of the world’s most influential clinical scientists in stress biology, paediatric endocrinology, and adolescent health. He is a Member of the Academy of Athens, President of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute, President of the Hellenic Institute for Healthy Longevity, Professor Emeritus at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School, and holds the UNESCO Chair on Adolescent Health Care.
Ranked among the world’s most highly cited clinical researchers, Prof. Chrousos has fundamentally shaped global understanding of stress, resilience, and human development across the life course.
Within Kinesis Innovation Center, Prof. Chrousos provides senior scientific guidance at the interface of healthy ageing, physical activity, stress physiology, and translational health policy, strengthening the Center’s global credibility and long-term scientific vision.

The Kinesis Innovation Center (KIC) brings together world-leading multidisciplinary researchers from across Europe, specialising in physical activity interventions, technology, and data analytics. Our expertise spans all age groups—from early childhood to ageing populations—and includes diverse groups, from elite athletes to individuals with clinical conditions.

KIC integrates cutting-edge neurorehabilitation, exercise prescription for non-communicable diseases, and preventative strategies with advanced behavioural change analysis. Our mission is to create an accessible and robust platform that supports academic, commercial, and governmental initiatives to secure public health for future generations.

The Kinesis Innovation Center (KIC) leverages the expertise of leading scientists from the WWU Institute of Sport & Exercise Sciences and MORES at Oxford Brookes University, connecting 700+ experts from PhysAgeNet and EGRAPA, the 33,000+ member Greek Scientists Society, and multiple European research networks to serve as a strategic hub advancing innovation, fostering interdisciplinary synergies, and shaping evidence-based policy.
